    on pg. 231 of the book “becoming almost famous” by Ben Fong-Torres, the writer says the Rolling Stone building was modeled on set at a warehouse on Figueroa in LA…claims the set designer quizzed them on the appearance of their building in SF down to the details of the MJB coffee sign next door

    Info on Loc. #12 Party house, we don’t know where the front of the house or the inside of the house was shot at, BUT the pool scene when Russell jumps from a roof top into the pool was shot at our pool/backyard. We believe the “rooftop” was just built for the movie. But by the look of the pool and the main house with the fireplace chimney, we are 100% certain it was shot at our backyard.

    In regards to the location #12 party house,
    I’m wondering if it was filmed in Hemet, California.
    When Russell was carried out to the tour bus and it pulls away, you can see a brown bumper sticker that says “HEMET IS HEAVEN” which is a real bumper sticker. I still see cars in 2019 with that same bumper sticker.
