    Hello–
Re: ‘Bugsy’–location #12 appears to be Castillo de los Tres Reyes Magos del Moro, the fortifications at the entrance to the harbor at Havana, Cuba.

The Flamingo Casino set took a few months to build. It was located out in the middle of nowhere on Hey 78 in Imperial County between Ocotillo Wells and the the Junction of Hwy 78 & Hwy 86 near the Salton Sea. I past by it once a week when I drove to Brawley and El Centro for work. When it was completed and filming was going to occur, I was driving on Hwy 86 and saw a couple of Semi car hauling transport trucks loaded with 1930s & early 40s vehicles. I’ve got two photos of what it looked like. So much work went into the construction, I thought it would be left as a toruist attraction, but environmentalist threw a hissy over some desert toads in the area. The time must have been around 1990.
