The scene when Batts gets whacked in the trunk I thought was filmed at Lake Ronkonkoma on Long Island, Ny

I saw it with my own eyes being filmed ( I was on portion rd heading west)and then followed the convoy on the Long Island expressway for a few exits after the scene was done shooting

Nice job! I believe I found almost everything filmed in Manhattan, Queens LI and Brooklyn (including Henry’s real home and the cab stand on Pine Street in East New York), NJ & New Rochelle from other sources, Except I am unable to find the location where Tommy (J. Pesci) was picked up to at his mother’s house to be made (not the house he was whacked – filmed in Brooklyn.) I am almost positive it is in Queens Village in the very same area within blocks of the location of the scene at the end of the movie when Henry (R. Liotta) drops of silencers for Jimmy (R. De Niro) which is 94-24 220th Street at 94th Road – off Jamaica avenue near and not too far from Springfield Blvd. If anyone knows, please let me know. If anyone needs any locations, please let me know as well. Yes, Prospect Park is the location of teh scene where Batts was buried and the lion scene. Thanks.

      Hi Gregg!

I once used to have that house listed in my initial post, but later decided to remove it since we are never shown a clear shot of it. Nevertheless, according to a visitor, it was located on 242nd St. in Bellerose, Queens.

        Hi Alexandre,

Thank you so much…..Sorry for the late delay in my response. Yes, it is unclear the shot of the house was taken from the inside of the house looking out. The way I would identify any locations that are not clear is the background shots:
1.Houses in background of the made man scene pick up – both (yellow and blue) 2 story colonial with rounded roof – all over the area with Jimmy and Henry scene with silencers at 220th Street.
        2. Cement driveways with the grass center- all over area – although a lot since cemented or paved.
        3. Front brick stoop with rounded brick sides – in area but most renovated. In this case, there are still some houses with the rounded brick stoops,
4.Telephone poles with the metal wrappings also in the same area, etc,

But if you have a pic that would e great! As I have mentioned previously, I have located ~ 95% of all scenes that I could find except this one. I located 46 locations in total with 29 from the film and 17 that are the actual location of the event. Of the 46 locations identified with addresses, the breakdown geographically is as follows: Queens – 20, Brooklyn – 11, Manhattan – 7, Nassau Co. – 4, Other (New Rochelle, Staten Island & Fort Lee, NJ) = 3 , I have pics and addresses of 46 if you need any. I also have a video from the scene at the 220th street location from the owner of the house when it was filmed in 1989. Thank you again!

Hii again Alexandre….I tried that road in Belelrose but it does not look to be a match. Do you have a cross street for your 242nd street location- it can any section: Bellerose,, or even Larelton or Rosedale areas (other 242nd streets)? Better yet, do you have a street address? And if you still have the old pic that would also be great as well. Thanks again and let me know if you want any locations – i could even email you my spread sheet of info.

The address I was given on 242nd St. is 88-41. There are certainly similar-looking houses as the ones seen in the background.. by any chance, would you know where it was when Henry is seen leaving prison?
          Thanks!

That is great thank you very much. That was the closest street that I could find (88th Drive and 89th Avenue – both in Bellerose Queens (as opposed to Bellerose Nassau it is actually in both Counties) that was a close match. The leaving prison scene is one of six that I can not find I am sorry. Any others you need?

          2. Gregg

Hi Alexandre…..I am sorry to be a “pill”. But I am still having problems matching the address of the location to the the film. Do you still have the picture the visitor had sent to you? Once again thanks for all your help.

it was a house on 241st street in bellerose, queens owned by the Valentines. the scene with the yellow volkswagon driving down the block and the old lady walking with the shopping cart and it was joe pesci’s moms house where they went to get the knife because he hit a “deer”.

BTW, the one little scene that takes place at the end of movie when “Frenchy” and “Buddha” bodies turn up in the dumpster after Lufthansa. This scene was filmed at Jackson Hole Diner (Airlin Diner) in the back. This can be verified by the old yellow/brown shed on the adjacent property behind the fence which is still there today. And also by the brick facade and windows on the apt match the apt in the background of truck heist scene earlier in the movie which was filmed there.

Hi Alexandre…By the way, another little known location. All the stills hots from Karen’s voice over after the wedding scene “We always did everything together…” “Little Jimmy” birthday cake -not sill, , playing cards w/ Cutty Shark on table, dinner In yard with wives, water poured over Henry’s head, etc. were filmed at 220th Street in Queens Village location where the scene was shot for Henry delivering the rejected guns to Jimmy. Verified with previous owner and also matches the previous owner’s home videos posted on Face Book of interview with Joe Pesci (outfits of cast match to the to the film – Pesi brown jacket, DiNiro knit blue short sleve Shirt, etc.).

The scene when Karen is on a Pay Phone Calling Henry and Crying was filmed in the Parking lot next to Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle NY (near the filming of parents House and Bruce House on Alfred Street) as per another posted source – not verified.

Hi Alexandre….I did find the correct address. It was actually on 241st Street vs. 242nd Street. Tommy’s mother house is 89-34, the 2 visible houses across the street are 89-35 and 89-37. All houses are located on 241st Street, Bellerose – Queens. Thanks again.

Henry Hill’s actual house growing up 391, 394 or 398 Pine Street East New York, Brooklyn (Queens Border). Paulie’s Euclid Ave. Cab Stand was across Street at 407 Pine St.. Paulie’s nearby businesses were -Presto Pizzeria on Pitkin Ave. & Fontainebleau Florist-Fulton St.(Cypress H.). Have pics of the sights I found and visited but not sure how to post them?

Henry & Karen first date was at Villa Capra Restaurant at 488 Chestnut St. across from LIRR, in Cedarhurst at the time (Owned by Frankie “The Whop” Manzo – Former Lucchese “Member”), It is now Amsterdam Burger & Co.

After the Villa Capra closed, the location became Mother Kelly’s, a popular Italian restaurant that was there for many years. The owners retired and closed the place a few years ago and I guess that’s when it became Amsterdam Burger. However, that place closed down in 2016 and is now a restaurant called Doma Land & Sea, a steak and seafood place.

The actual “The Suite” lounge and super club appears to be at 111-20 Queens Blvd. in Forest Hills in he same strip of stores as the fire house. Currently a health club with pool. There are a few sources and addresses for this location. This is the most reliable and appears on 2006 Henry Hill documentary with appearances and comments by Henry Hill, Ed McDonald, Nick, Pileggi and Martin Scorsese.

Henry’s last drink with the crew (and Karen standing off to side) at the bar before Henry’s driver takes him to jail, This is EXTERIOR ONLY (not sure where interior was filmed) was filmed on the corner of Madison Avenue & 61st Street, Manhattan (1 Block from Copa). When Henry and Karen kiss the background is the east side of Madison Avenue on 61st Street. The actual club for this goodbye was at Maxwell’s Plum 1181, 1st Avenue & 64th Street, Manhattan (Flamboyant and Eclectic Closed – 1988)

When young Henry and Tuddy deliver the message to Paulie in the rain? Or when Henry is older and he talks to Paulie in the backyard and Paulie talks about Gribbs staying away fro the “junk”? Some other scene?

    Reply
  13. Gregg

Not positive but I would assume in Astoria not too far from where all the young Henry other scenes were filmed. A lot of scenes in the movie were filmed in very close proximity to each other regardless of the sequence of the scene in the movie. Hope that helps

The very last shot when Henry is in witness protection is filmed in Marlboro, NJ.

It’s next door to my wifes grandmothers house.
