Mark’s estate was on the Universal Studios backlot – an exterior set was constructed on colonial st. (where the residential/desperate housewives houses are located) but it was torn down some time ago. No idea why. I believe you can still find old backlot maps ft where the house was and photos of it on retroweb or the universal site

      Wow, thank you!
I went crazy trying to nail that location a while ago. A quick search confirmed your words.

That me true of the interiors of Marks’s house, but the exteriors were shot at a still standing home in East Goshen Township, Pa., 25 miles west of Philadelphia.

It’s said the location for the final scene in Marni is Sanders Street, but honestly, I’m pretty sure it is actually one street over on Folsom Street. The houses have only one window between the doors on Sanders and the basement windows aren’t tall enough, on Folsom the homes have two windows and the taller basement windows.
