Beauty shop scene for Slapshot was in The Hair Em. It was beside Central Park and owned by my dad William Shaffer.

No shots of the arenas the Chiefs played in, home or away? “Slap Shot” IS a movie about a hockey team, isn’t it? SMH.

The scene where the pre game fight and bloody national anthem takes place at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. The scene where the players jump into the stands to fight the crowd takes place at the Syracuse War Memorial Arena.

I’m don’t remember if there is more than 1 bus scene in the movie but if this is the one where they are hitting the side of the bus with a sledge hammer and he says “making it look mean” then it was filmed at the Holiday Inn in Indiana, Pa. I watched them film that scene for 2 hours and it last about 4 seconds in the film.
