One of my favorite Bond films; it reminds me of living in Eastern Europe in the late 80’s. Amazing research and great finds! Makes me want to go to all these locations.

quite well portraited eastern block, a lot of details (some of them doesnt make a sense but it is not important), a lot of efforts… of course some moments are amusing for slovak folks

some background speech is in funny mixture of slovak and czech language, some ‘slovak’ sounding speech is just nonsense

sequence portraiting crossing border between slovakia and austria is extra amusing…there are no mountains in fact, just a flat flat landscape.

extra points for casting of one stb /czechoslovak ‘kgb’/ agent, that one in leather jacket arretink kara on the street….very real…disgusting and sleazy s.o.b. type
